Fine Chinese Ming Chenghua Style. Superb Chinese Ming Style Enamel Dragon Blue and White Globular Porcelain Vase. An outstanding Chinese blue and white globular porcelain vase. It has a truly one of the best underglazed iron red dragon. The combination of blue white and underglazed iron red color is among the most difficult technique of ceramic making. Because of the huge difference of the firing temperatures of both colors, most underglazed iron red painting would be melted together and lose its strokes and shapes. Take a look at our close up pictures of the dragon of this vase, every stroke is clear. It has some small green spot, evidence of true underglazed iron red color. The dragon wrapped its body around the globular body and neck of this vase. The blue waves around the dragon is painted with large amount of individual strokes, both time consuming and forms great detail. Underneath it has a 6 character Qing Yongzheng seal mark. It’s in good condition without any major imperfection, only normal wear and tear. 24.5 or 62cm tall. This is truly a museum quality collectible. Any serious collector shouldn’t miss this one.
