Listed is a Spanish Starter Deck Kaiba Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Since the early 2000’s, only a total of six (6) have been graded MINT by PSA. These cards were printed for Spain, for Spanish speakers on the European continent and thus it has a totally separate print quality than its North-American counterpart. One distinct difference is they reflect light differently than the “glossy” cards we are used to. The best way to explain it is that they look like a cross between glossy and wavy, but with a pronounced reflective surface. I will throw in the Red-Eyes too. The total population for Spanish PSA 9 Red-Eyes is 31. It is important to note that Spanish/European holos are much more difficult to grade than their North American versions, which explains why there are only two of these in the world. Many people have tried to find these cards in mint condition, but have a tough time doing so due to how these cards were printed. Collectors describe the print quality as “brittle” referring to the edges and corners, which were prone to wear. After nearly two decades, it is evident that not many have survived in storage or handled well enough to preserve its gem mint qualities. For these reasons, this happens to be one of two surviving gem mint Blue-Eyes. This card is certainly a special investment to any Blue-Eyes or high end collection. Regardless, the Blue-Eyes card remains a masterpiece in the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, featuring the most iconic monster in its original art.
