This item came from the estate of Mrs. Mary Morrison, was a collector, former museum curator and lecturer on Asian art at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She also played an important role in creating the Canadian Society for Asian Arts which got its start in Vancouver in 1968. Over her lifetime, she collected a fabulous collection of Chinese antiques, mostly snuff bottles, and porcelain. Most of her pieces were collected between the 1940’s – 70’s in England and North America. We held back a few pieces which we have now decided to offer for sale – this is one of those.
